Part of our volunteer efforts serves children who are in the foster care system. We partner with local and national organizations to provide in-kind donations to children.
Supporting Our Youth
Cake4Kids
We partner with Cake4kids to serve youths in foster care, group homes, survivors of domestic violence or human trafficking, living in low-income housing with or without a parent, or even homeless. Our volunteers bake and deliver free birthday cakes for children who might not otherwise receive one. Cake4Kids connects our organization with local human and social service agencies to make this wonderful program happen!
Valentine's Day Challenge
Valentine's Day Challenge is part of Fairfax County's MLK Jr. Weekend of Service honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The program's mission is to support youth aging out of the foster care system. More than 10,000 valentine cars were made and distributed to the following organizations: Foster Care to Success, Fairfax County Foster Care System, Adoption and Kinship Children, Children’s National Medical Center, INOVA Hospital System, Walter Reed Medical Center, and Wounded Warriors. After the pandemic, the program included supporting frontline healthcare workers and public school teachers.
In-Kind Donation Drives
Our organization accepts year-round donations for local charity organizations that serve families in need.
